On October 4th, 2009 FLOOZEES DOOZEES will be at the Cars For Pinks auto show at Quaker Steak & Lube in Clearwater, FL for a VERY special event! Victorias daughter, Katie, will be participating in the Breast Cancer 3 Day on October 30 – November 1. Katie will be walking 60 miles in 3 days! (Whoo…. my hat is off to all of those amazing folks for doing this!)
Part of our proceeds from T Shirts, Musical Illumination Candle Rings and our other items will be going straight to Katie to help her in the effort to make her registration fee, in order to participate in the walk. WE ARE SO PROUD OF HER! The Tampa Bay Chapter of the Viva Las Chicas, of which Katie is a member of their team, will be there too. This is going to be a GREAT event and one that we are very excited about!
Systematic Chaos will be supplying some great live music, and we so appreciate these guys for giving of their time and wonderful talents in helping Katie as well. Thanks guys! You Guys ROCK! (And that bass player is hotttttttt, if I do say so myself !)

Everyone loves the Musical Illumination Candle Rings and many have told me that I should make jewelry from the strings as well.
I’ve made two necklaces so far, and one bracelet that I gave to Wic on his birthday.
Still needing strings! Guitar strings, bass strings, violin strings, banjo strings, etc…….I’m not picky. Only hitch is they must have been used. No new strings. I truly believe that part of the charm of each piece is that it was at some point in time used to create music.
Many thanks to StevieB’s in downtown St. Pete for their string donation! They are a bunch of really cool folks and the strings were greatly appreciated!

The market boasts the freshest produce and plants in the area, as well as baked goods……. (I’m hoping for fresh cinnamon rolls!) but also some very cool crafters and artisans.

Snafoo city! Between my merchant account issues, my tent not showing up and a great opportunity for my boyfriends band…… I’ve decided not to attend the Safety Harbor Music Series tonight. But… it’s held the 3rd Friday of each month and I’ll be there next month with bells on!
I’ve been busy lining up events and getting all of my proverbial ducks in a row. Details galore with this type of thing. Honestly……. right now I’m feeling very grateful for a day that was destined to be hectic turning out to be somewhat sane.

Floozees Doozees is actively searching for festivals and events to sell some of our great products in. Tampa Bay is one fine area for all types of festivals and fairs, and we want to be a part of it! So far, we’ve found some great places to go. Music festivals, street fairs, markets and coming this fall, we hope to be going somewhere each and every weekend. And of course, you can always find us on eBay and Etsy.com. Click on the links below to go to our various stores!
Logistics still have to be worked out for events. Gotta have a table, a tent, displays, gotta figure out how to process credit card transactions, etc… Sooooo many things to think about! But… once that’s done, we’ll be in business. Literally!
Floozees Doozees is branching out in other ways too. We recently were contracted to do a bulk wholesale order (which we are happy to do, by the way!) to an upscale tattoo parlor in VA, and sure would love more of those!
Got some new things going on… of course we are ALWAYS adding new T Shirt designs (Victorias favorite pastime is looking at T Shirt designs!) but now we have Booze Bags and Margarita bags… fun ways to wrap your favorite libation for yourself, or someone else.
We’ve also added a line of Hope Jars. Cool glass jars for your favorite trinkets and treasures, accented with beads and charms.

Finally!
Musical Illuminations are now a reality! So far, I’ve made 4-5 and have found that it’s pleasing to my soul to make these candle rings.
I have loved candles for years. I’ve often thought, however, that they needed some decoration, or accents of some sort.
Wicasta, my love in life, was changing the strings on one of his guitars one evening. He rolled up the strings into a circle and handed them to me. I guess he thought I was going to throw them away. But what I immediately did was study them. I thought the metal and the curly ends of the strings were very cool. I draped them over the top of one of my candles… and an idea was born.
Musical Illuminations are the result. They are candle rings infused with the spirit of music. They are accented with various beads, shells, charms, and various elements from the Earth.
I’m excited about these. I have scoured the internet and have found nothing even remotely similar to these. They are unique in every possible way and I’m so excited to be making them.
I can’t take the credit for these, however. I truly believe that inspiration flows through artists, like vessels… and because we are open to the inspiration, ideas and dreams take hold and if we apply ourselves… and do our part (focus, create, believe……. work) then great things can happen.

As soon as the last few materials arrive, I’m finally going to be all set to begin Musical Illuminations. I’m so excited about making these. I’ve searched the internet far and wide to find anything remotely like them and have found nothing.
How cool will it be to have guitar strings… infused with live music from the hands of my own true love and his bass/guitars… woven with various charms, beads, crystals, metals, shells… and formed into rings that you put on the top of candles or around the base.
Hard to picture, I’m sure… but in just a few more days, I’ll be able to finally post pictures of the first ones!
These candle rings will be each one of a kind. I’m not certain any two will be exactly alike, or if so… they will be matching pairs since many people, myself included, often use matching candles and holders on shelves, mantles, etc…
I’ll have candle rings for music lovers, pet lovers (especially cats, since I am the crazy cat lady), holiday candle rings, special occasion candle rings ( like weddings, birthdays, housewarming, wine tastings, etc) and my imagination continues from there.
Also… my wine totes are beginning to sell! Yes!
We are also always and continually adding new designs for T Shirts. I have posted a couple below… (available in all sizes up to 5X !!!)
… And as always, most of the designs can be applied to Tote Bags, Wall Hangings (coming very soon) and Garden Flags (coming very soon).
